Top 9 Springtime Smoothie Recipes

Spring is in the air.

Birds are chirping. The snow is snowing melting. Warmer, sunnier days are upon us.

And, on a hot springtime day it’s hard to beat a cool, refreshing, and delicious smoothie.

Below are my top 9 springtime smoothie recipes.

How To Blend The Perfect Smoothie

Before I give you the recipes I want to go over a few housekeeping tips for blending the perfect smoothie.

When most people make a smoothie, they simply throw all the ingredients into a blend-fest free for all.

Yea, to make the perfect smoothie, don’t do that.

Follow these three tips to blend the perfect smoothie:

1. Liquid ingredients go in first.

Allows them to swirl close to the blades, catch all the other ingredients, and prevent clumps/chunks.

2. Add soft ingredients.

Blend the liquid and softest ingredients together for 20-30 seconds.

3. Finally, add ice and/or more solid ingredients.

If your blender has a removal top add ice or frozen fruit while the blender is going. If not, don’t worry about it.

This 3 step method (usually) creates a chunk-free smoothie that is ready for delightful consumption.
